Fizzies have no preservatives, so you should drink Fizzies beverages within 12 hours after dissolving the tablet in water. If refrigerated, drinks will stay fresh for about 24 hours.

Fizzies tablets do contain sodium benzoate and citric acid. However, According to independent lab testing, Fizzies tablets contain ~45% less than the amount considered safe by the Environmental Protection Agency.
