In the 1960s, the wacky chemists at Emerson Drug Company decided they were going to create a drink tablet. It would be a tablet that when added to water, would create instant soda pop. After countless late nights filled with stirring and sniffing and sipping and slurping, the giddy scientists shouted, "Eureka!" The beverage pioneers had perfected their invention, and they proclaimed it should be called FIZZIES®. |

Families across the country flipped over Fizzies. With one little tablet and a glass of water, Fizzies released its magical fizz, creating a perfectly sweet, effervescent drink. Fizzies were originally made in grape, cherry, orange, punch, berry, lemon-lime and root beer flavors. Fizzies kids could be spotted a mile away with their tell-tale grins and brightly colored tongues. |
